In about two weeks I will be married... Friday the 13th, of July. Upon meeting my fiance, we both exchanged the most diverse tastes of music. We're lovers of real, sincere, sound, not candy-coated, polished tunes that the radio produces. He introduced me to his favorite band, one from Spain, singing entirely in Spanish, but with the most amazing sound... And in return, I introduced him to Tribe After Tribe, making him a fan instantly. Together we listened contently to TAT's rhymic sound and wild calling... Putting ourselves entirely into this wonderful music.
When we decided to get married, lyrics of many different artists came to my mind, filling me with words I could not describe myself... Song always somehow has a way of saying what we cannot, yeah? But perhaps the most powerful song that hit me was "Babalon" off Love Under Will. I'll never truly know Robbi's personal meaning of the song, but I have my own, and that's what matters. My fiance listened to it and also found his own meaning. Because we became so strongly attached to this particular tune, we will be engraving the words, "Wild is my love" into our wedding rings. It's our own private meaning of connection, somehow.
I wanted to just thank Tribe After Tribe for giving us words we could not always speak. Sometimes I wonder... Where would we be without such music?

"Wild is my love" .. what a wonderful line for your wedding rings! And what a wonderful song "Babalon" is ..
good choice! :)
"Our song" was Ben Folds "The Luckiest". We had it played live (by a friend of ours) when we entered the church. And when we went to see Ben Folds live about two years ago and he actually played this tune my wife and I had tears in our eyes. Good memories .. :)
Cheers,
Andre
