What a show! What a fantastic show! Well, I joined the band throughout the entire day but I'm gonna concentrate on the gig only. Robbi entered the stage of the Logo in Hamburg at about 9.15 p.m. and started the set all alone playing 'Chiron' from the new album. A quiet song more or less unknown to everybody in the club as the album just got released a couple of hours before. Nonetheless, the guy next to me touched my arm so I looked at him and he just said "This will be a damn cool show!". The audience was very attentive and listenend to Robbi and his guitar. After a couple of minutes Dino and Richard slowly entered the stage as well and joined Robbi to end 'Chiron'. So that was the quiet start. From then on, only heavier rock songs followed.
'Boy' was next. And that made us fans bang or dance in the first rows. Very cool. After 'Boy', only new songs followed. I don't remember the exact set list, but the set included 'Supreme One', 'Burning Bush', 'Truth & Reconciliation', 'Holy City Warrior', 'Understanding The Water'. René from German rock band 4Lyn joined the three boys during 'Truth & Reconciliation' (this song was co-written by him).
The regular set ended with 'Out Of Control'. Richard asked me to join him on my djembe drum so I entered the stage and sat down on a chair next to Richard's drum kit to play my djembe. But Richard and Robbi wanted me to play in the foreground of the stage so I just kneed down right before Robbi and played on the ground.
The band left the stage after 'Out Of Control' but the audience wanted more. So the boys returned and played 'Eloise' and 'Ice Below'. As 'Ice Below' got played, more and more guests joined Robbi singing the chorus and at the end it was only us singing the chorus and Richard playing my djembe. Pretty amazing, I've never seen this before during a Tribe After Tribe concert.
Anyhow, the show was over and out after this very cool moment. The band got backstage but the fans wanted more. The applause just wouldn't stop. Wonderful. So the band returned one more time, bowed low in front of the audience and thanked the fans for this great night.
